Comparative study of pretransfusion crossmatching between gel test (ID-microtyping system) and tube test in multitransfused patients. This study included 200 multitransfused patients and 20 healthy controls.Patients and controls were subjected to the following:-–Complete blood picture.–ABO and Rh blood grouping.–Pretransfusion crossmatching using both gel test and tube test.Conclusion:The gel test was more sensitive than tube test in pretransfusion crossmatching.
