Abstract

This work was conducted on 30 newly diagnosed non insulin dependent diabetic patients 5 males and 25 females (within 3 months) and 10 normal healthy individuals as control 2 males and 8 females. Diabetic patients were selected from the outpatient clinic of Kasr El Ainin Hospital. We obtained the following results1. Statistically significant elevation of GFR. 2. Statistically significant micro albuminuria. 3. Statistically non significant elevation of ERPF. 4. Statistically non significant renal abnormalities (in 20% of patients) by US. 5. Urenary tract obstruction in 10% of patients by US and 99mTc-MAG3.
