Giant cell tumour is a relatively uncommon lesion which occurs mostly in young adults. The age incidence occurs between 20-40 years with female predominance as 3:2. More than 46% of the tumour occurs around the knee joint at the epiphysis and adjacent metaphysis but almost all joints could be involved.
