Echocardiography is widely used to diagnose congenital heart defects or exclude cardiac involvement in infectious, neuromuscular or metabolic disorders. The aim of this study is to evaluate normal standard echocardiographic values of healthy Egyptian neonates to define normal ranges. Our study was carried on100 healthy neonates. All neonates were subjected to full history taking, full clinical examination, ECG (electrocardiogram), echocardiographic examination which included M mode and pulsed Doppler values. The values were presented for each measurement in relation to body surface area, age and body weight.
