Abstract

Critical limb ischemia (CLI) presents a wide variety of challenges to the interventional physician’s ability to treat their disease. The subintimal arterial flossing with antegrade retrograde intervention “SAFARI” technique improves acute technical success when initial antegrade attempts at recanalization have failed. The retrograde approach is effective for successfully recanalization of chronic total occlusion of lower limb peripheral arteries inpatients with critical limb ischaemia.
