Abstract

Management of traumatic frontal sinus fractures associated with CSF leak is controversial. Fate of CSF leak following conservative management was studied. Conservative management and surgical management were compared in 20 patients. Twenty-five percent of patients undergoing conservative management eventually needed surgery, whereas 8.3% of those undergoing surgical management needed further intervention. Conservative management was found to be suitable for minimally-displaced posterior wall fractures.
