Method: 20 adult patients with fractures of the distal tibia and bad soft tissue condition were treated with the modified fibula pro tibia technique. All fractures healed. Using Tinny and Wiss criteria, 14 patients were excellent, 4 were good and 2 patients were fair. Conclusion: the modified fibula pro tibia technique is a good option in treating distal tibia fractures when associated with bad soft tissue condition over the medial side.
