Abstract

Contrast enhanced MRI of the breast is sensitive for detection of invasive breast cancer yet its reported specificity is variable. DWI represents a complementary quantitative breast imaging sequence providing valuable information on benign, suspicious & malignant lesions by characterizing tumor cellularity. DWI has shown high sensitivity for breast cancer thus recommended as a part of routine preoperative examination &represents promising tool for screening.
