Abstract

Miscarriage is the most common complications of pregnancy, 80 % of it occur in the first 12 weeks. Retained products of conception (RPOC) are a common complication after treatment of abortion, and may cause prolonged bleeding, abdominal cramps and endometritis.Endovaginal Sonography is necessary to confirm complete evacuation of the uterus to reduce the number of patients having a repeated surgical evacuation, and then the overall number of complications can be reduced.Medical management of abortion especially incomplete type with Misoprostol is a safe and effective method and considered good alternative to surgery.
