Abstract

The chamber angle received considerable attention as regard to its role in glaucoma pathogenesis. This study pointed towards evaluating the changes in the angle structure after small incision cataract surgery and combined small incision cataract surgery + trabeculectomy (Combined Phacotrabeculectomy) including anterior chamber depth and angle width in patients with combined cataract and narrow angle glaucoma. Results of the current study, results were statistically significant, from the UBM measurement of the angle-point of view, (P-value < 0.05) one month postoperatively (as compared to preoperative measurements) in both studied groups, viz, who had undergone phacoemulcification only or combined phacoemulsification with trabeculectomy.
