Abstract

The Arabic version of the Voice Handicap Index reflects the patient’s quality of life.The study included 80 Egyptians, 40 with normal hearing and 40 with moderate to profound sensorineural hearing loss.It was found that patients with sensorineural hearing loss starting from a moderate level to profound level have higher scores than their peers with normal ranges in the three aspects of the index : functional, emotional & physical.
