Chronic kidney disease is a worldwide problem, the prevalence of the disease is increasing due to increasing of the patients lifespan and the increasing of the available screening and investigation techniques. The outcome of the disease is related to its early diagnosis and management. Anemia of CKD has many causes. It plays an important role in morbidity, so treatment is important. The management of anemia of CKD which is a complication of CKD due to erythropoietin deficiency is very important and affecting the mortality outcomes of CKD. The management of anemia with oral iron supplementation, intravenous iron, blood transfusion and erythropoietin has their recently guidelines definitions which aims at maintaining haemoglobin concentration >11 g/dl.
