Knee stiffness is a complication of knee trauma and surgery. Formation of adhesions in knee will disturb the normal function of the quadriceps leading to the restriction of motion of the knee joint. Although the causes of this problem vary, it is one of the time most significant complications following ACL reconstruction. Manipulation, arthrolysis quadricepsplasty and joint distraction by hinged external fixator used in treatment of this problem.
