Abstract

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a multifunctional cytokine that increase microvascular permeability and directly stimulates endothelial cell growth and angiogenesis.It is implicated in multiple chest diseases.The purpose of this study is to evaluate its role in chest diseases and to assess if it can be used as a diagnostic tool, as a therapy or even block its action to ameliorate diseases.VEGF may carry a new hope in chest diseases field according to results of many studies included in this essay.
