Abstract

Effective presentation of tumor antigens is fundamental to strategies aimed at enrolling the immune system in eradication of residual disease after conventional treatment. Myeloid malignancies provide a unique opportunity to drive DCs functioning APCs from malignant cells themselves. This study aimed at producing of DCs from AML blasts using IL-4 and GM-CSF. Sixteen cases out of 20 cases generated DCs from AML blasts using IL-4 and GM-CSF with the highest change with IL-4. The highest viability was with GM-CSF and the highest DCs count and morphologically differentiated DCs were with both cytokines.
