The study was conducted on 44 type 2 diabetic patients (confirmed by full medical history& laboratory studies) ,patients are subdivided into two groups, normoalbuminuric and microalbuminuric, according to microalbuminuria in the fresh urine samples. All patients were subjected to the following laboratory workup: fasting blood glucose, post prandial blood glucose,glycated hemoglobin (HBA1c), serum Creatinine, serum Total cholesterol, Triglycerides (TGS), Low density lipoprotein (LDL), High density lipoprotein (HDL),serum uric acid level, C – reactive protein (CRP) titre.,serum adiponectin level and urinary albumin creatinine ratio.
