Cerebrovascular stroke is one of the most common causes of death and disability throughout the world. Atherosclerosis of carotid artery is considered one of the most predisposing factors for occurring the cerebrovascular stroke. It was found that about 17% of patients suffering from nonhaemrrhagic stroke had a various degree of carotid lesions (50%-99%). Duplex of carotid artery is one of feasible, noninvasive method for screening of patients at high risk for cerebrovascular accident.
