While, health care has become more effective it has alsobecome more complex, with greater use of new technologies, medicines and treatments.Health services treat older and sicker patients who often present with significant comorbiditiesrequiring more and more difficult decisions as to health care priorities. Increasingeconomic pressure on health systems often leads to overloaded health care environments(WHO, 2010).Aim of the study: The present study aimed to create a patient safety friendly hospitalenvironment that helps reducing safety problems with all its consequences for the sake ofpatients and health team as well.Study methodology: The study was an intervention study conducted in the Obstetrics andGynecology hospital - Cairo University- in patient wards.
