Abstract
Trichinosis is a disease of major public health significance. Man is infected by ingestion of pig meat containing Trichinella spiralis larvae.Serological methods of diagnosis are of utmost importance. Of these methods electrophoresis had been proved to have 100% specificity and sensitivity. So Trichinella spiralis crude larval antigen was prepared and fractionated by electrophoresis and then enzyme-linked immuno transfer blot was applied to detect the most specific protein bands for trichinosis which were: 45, 47 and 53kDa.
