Sphenoidal meningiomas constitute 18% of intracranial masses. In this prospective study, 34 cases included: 18 outer, middle and whole sphenoid wing, 12 clinoidal and 4 hyperostosing en plaque. In each case diagnosis was made clinically and confirmed radiologically and histo- pathologically. In 20 cases total removal was achieved, and subtotal resection in 14 cases. Post operative mortality in 1 case and morbidity in 7 cases. Outcome was: 8 cases were excellent, 13 were good and 12 were fair and one mortality. Indication, & outcome for each approach is analyzed individually.
