Catheter-directed lytic therapy in patients with iliofemoral DVT can achieve significant lysis of clot and associated with low complication rates, early disappearance of symptoms, significant increase in the percentage of venous patency, lesser occurrence of venous reflux,postphlebitic syndrome and absence of recurrence of DVT.
