Abstract

The study was performed on 25 patients presenting by ambiguous genitalia. Diagnostic laparoscopy was done to ensure proper diagnosis of type of disorder of sexual development via proper visualisation of either male or female internal genitalia. Each patient was clinically evaluated to detect the degree of ambiguous genitalia and a hormonal profile for serum male and female hormones including adrenal profile. Genetic karyotyping was done for each patient to detect the genotype. Abdominopelvic ultrasonography was done to visualise internal genitalia.
