Abstract

Beta-CLL cells are arrested in G0LG1 phase of cell cycle and are characterized by a marked hyporesponsiveness towards a variety of poly clonal beta-cell activators P27 is one of the KIPLCP family of CKDIs. In beta-CLL the non physiological increase in P27 appear to be of clinical relevance. CLL exhibit the highest levels of P27 protein among lymphoproliferative disorder. This study included 35-CLL patients and showed high, P27 levels by RT-PCR among CLL cases compared to the 30 controls. While the P27 protein levels by immunocytochemistry were low in patients compared to the control.
