Abstract

SLE is a systemic chronic illness of unknown cause. It is characterized bythe presence of multiple autoantibodies that participate inimmunologically mediated tissue injury.Tinnitus &hearing loss bothreversible &irreversible in SLE patients may also be precipitated by thedrugs used in management of the disease among these drugs are antimalarialdrugs (Seligmann et al., 1996).Hearing loss was significantly related to the disease activity and severity,and seizures.
