Abstract

In this work, 55 patients with hydrocephalus associated with posterior fossa tumors are studied, Neurosurgical opinions on management of that hydrocephalus vary greatly; various authors advocate direct tumor removal, others prefer preoperative external ventricular drainage (EVD), while others recommend performing permanent CSF diversion by placement of a shunt before tumor removal or performing an endoscopic third ventriculocisternostomy. The aim of the work is to Evaluation of the scoring system proposed by Drake and colleagues on our patients and in our circumstances. Determine the best protocol for management of hydrocephalus in posterior fossa tumor patients.
