Abstract
This study is performed to emphasize the great value of grayscale and color Doppler ultrasonography in the diagnosis and management of breast disorders in childhood and adolescence. The study was done for two years prospectively on all patients presenting with breast disorders.All cases were subjected to:- Full history taking particularly of•Medications given to the mother during pregnancy•Manipulation of the breast or trauma•Constitutional symptoms•Breast gray scale and doppler ultrasonography on both breasts.It was found that gray scale and color doppler ultrasonography are accurate methods for diagnosing and following the effectiveness of treatment in breast disorders.Sonography can also guide aspiration of breast abscess. Sonography is more sensitive than mammography in visualization of the young breast.
