Restoring the patency of infarct related artery in acute myocardial infarction can be achieved using a new treatment strategy of facilitated percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), where half dose thrombolytic therapy and antiplatelets are used prior to primary PCI, the aim of this study to compare the efficacy & safety of facilitated PCI to conventional primary PCI, 20 pts in each group were studied, where facilitated group showed a better epicardial flow (TIMI), myocardial perfusion & clinical outcomes with low hemorrhagic complications.
