Abstract

Retinoblastoma is the most common intraocular malignancy in children. New conservative modalities using combined chemoreduction using (vincristine-carboplatin-etoposide) making it more amenable to salvaging by focal therapy (Cryotherapy, diode laser thermotherapy and plaque brachytherapy) promise greater opportunities for saving patient’s life, local tumor control, preserving the eye and vision while minimizing treatment side effects without resorting to external beam radiotherapy and enucleation
