Abstract

The treatment of posterior cruciate ligament injuries is usually conservative when the isolated posterior cruciate ligament grade I and II but the treatment is usually surgical in grade III or combined posterior cruciate ligament injury with other ligaments of the knee. In cases of bony avulsion of posterior cruciate ligament surgical treatment is strongly indicated. Several fixation techniques that use posterior cruciate ligament avulsion either Kirchner's wire, or sutures' which is either surgical or athroscopic. In combined posterior cruciate ligament and posterolateral complex injuries the treatment of this injury begins with reconstruction of the posterior cruciate ligament after the graft has been passed and fixed proximally and distally, the postero lateral structures are throughly evaluated.
