Abstract

Snoring is a common problem with many socio-medical manifestations. Five factors singly or in combination, contribute to snoring. Diagnosis of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea can be made through history taking, physical examination and polysomnography. Management of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea includes non surgical treatment of risk factors and surgical treatment. LAUP is an effective method in the treatment of snoring and mild OSA while radiofrequency is very safe and well tolerated but needs further study to exactly evaluate its efficacy.
