Hormone replacement therapy is used in relieving of menopausal symptoms and other estrogen deficiency states. HRT may be in the form of either estrogen alone, combined estrogen and progesterone or combined estrogen and androgen. Inspite of the benefits of HRT, there are certain risks such as endometrial carcinoma , breast cancer and liver disease.
