Abstract
Controllers are drugs taken daily on a long term basis that are useful in keeping persistant asthma under control. They include "ICs", "Systemic glucocorticoids", "Sodium cromoglycate", "Nedocromil sodium", "LTs", "LABA" and "Sustained-release theophylline". The aim of this essay is to reflect the effectiveness of these drugs in improving health aspects of life in children suffering from persistant asthma.
