Abstract

Across- sectional descriptive study was conducted for children attending skin outpatient clinic in Pediatric Hospital –Cairo University.Study covered 200 cases of infective skin diseases under 18 years : 128( 64%) boys and 72(36%) girls.Aim of work was to identify the different infective skin diseases affecting children, and magnitude and host features of each, together with knowledge of mothers for cause, infectivity, and management of disease.Impetigo and scabies are the most common infective skin diseases, then warts, then Tinea capitis.
