Abstract

The current study work studies Soluble Il-2 Receptors, Solulbe Il-6 Receptors, sFAS, and the p53 levels in the fifty four patients IBD and forty seven cancer colon cases also ten normal control subjects, these patients were presented to the Endoscopy Unit, Kaser Al Eini Hospital, Cairo University. There was a significant direct relationship between soluble IL-2 receptors and the colonic extension and the severity of colonic lesions on colonoscopic examinations in IBD cases and the severity of the pathological lesions when examined histopathological. High (although insignificant) levels of p53 were found in seven ulcerative colitis patients with dysplasia in histopathological examination.
