Well differentiated thyroid carcinoma is the most common tumor of the thyroid gland, it's potentially curable disease. Patients are treated usually by surgery followed by radioiodine according to their risk stratification. The patients are given El- troxin as a replacement suppression therapy and stopped for 4 weeks before whole body scanning with radioiodine.
