Abstract

Ultrasound guided epidural block provides a diagnostic approach for identifying the needle trajectory for epidural procedures. With knowledge of the ideal puncture point, the expected puncture angle and the expected depth of placement of the needle help to optimize the puncture processing. Ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block has the advantages of the following: Real-time identification of the brachial plexus anatomy. Accurate needle placement minimizing the risk of complications. Short onset time, high success rate and excellent analgesia for the patient.
