Abstract

The complex regional pain syndrome was defined as a continuous pain in a portion of an extremity after trauma which may include fracture, but does not involve a major nerve associated with sympathetic hyperactivity. Clinically, we have 3 grades: severe, moderate and mild. And 3 stages: acute, dystrophic and atrophic stages. We included in the review the traditional and recent lines of treatment as well as the clinical management of patients.
