Abstract

Acupuncture, one of the leading branches of alternative medicine was approved by the WHO as one of the useful tools in the management of a big list of diseases and painful conditions. Some acupuncture points have been known as symptomatic. Of these are point (Liv 3) which has a blood pressure lowering effect and point (P6) which controls cardiac rate. This work aims to investigate the efficacy of stimulation of these two points to prevent haemodynamic response to orotracheal intubation.
