Abstract

Aim: This study aimed to design to evaluate clinical effectiveness of platelet rich fibrin (PRP) with corronally advanced flap in the treatment of gingival recession.Material and method The study was conducted on 30 patients (both males and females) with age ranging from 20 to 45 selected from the outpatients clinic,Each patient has at least one localized marginal tissue recession (>2mm) that fulfilled the criteria described by Miller (1985) class, I, II were divided the patient into two groups: Group I: 15 of patients were received platelet rich fibrin with coronary repositioned flap. Group II: 15 of patients were received be subjected to coronary repositioned flap only. Results: There was high statistically significant deference between the two group at 3 month and 6 month where no significant deference between the two groups at 12 month was observed. Conclusions: Using (PRF) with modified coronally positioned flap showed significant increase in mean thickness of gingival tissues when compared to modified coronally positioned flap alone.
