Abstract

Twenty patients with 24 edentulous sites were distributed into two groups The first group (group A) received Maxi Z one-piece implants in addition to bone morphogenetic protein ( BMP) around the dental implants while the second group (group B) received only Maxi Z one- piece implants without BMP. Twenty four dental implants were conducted in the study where same patient may receive more than one implant with or without BMP. The current study conducted clinical parameters including modified bleeding index (MBI), Modified plaque index (MPI), Peri-implant probing Depth (PD) also implant mobility was evaluated using Periotest M and finally radiographic parameters including evaluation of crestal bone resorption and bone density all of which have proven to be helpful tools for proper assessment and evaluation. After the evaluation of all parameters at time of placement and after follow up period the results should better values for group (A) than group (B) which weren’t statistically significant.
