Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of ceramic laminate veneer at different preparation location namely cervical, incisal and mid facial surface. Material and Method: Forty-five extracted human maxillary central incisor were selected. The teeth were prepared in form of circular disc samples diameter was 4mm and thickness was 2mm to obtain samples from each facial one third the teeth were equally divided into three groups cervical, mid facial, incisal area and each group was further subdivided into three equal sub groups according to the enamel dentin ratio. Preparation of the labial surface of the samples was done. Fabrication of the laminate veneer using IPS e max press was done cementation of veneers and shear bond test and mode of fracture were done, by using scanning electron microscope scanning were carried out for 2samples from each sub group obtained data were recorded average and statistically analyzed. Result: ANOVA showed that the highest shear bond strength value was for the incisal region Enamil100%followed by midfacial Enamel 75% and the lowest shear bond strength obtained the cervical region Enamel 50%.Conclusion: Laminate veneer with Enamil100% showed the highest shear bond strength regard less to the area of bonding and the depth of reduction highly recommended the use of dentin bonding system.
