Aim of the present study was to compare in two perpendicular radiographic projections area occupied by gutta-percha , sealer or voids in standardized .06 tapered prepared root canals of extracted maxillary second premolar filled by a single .06 gutta-percha cone and sealer to lateral condensation of master .02 gutta-percha and sealer. Procedure 60 teeth used for the present study. Root segment with approximate length 17- mm were prepared with (Revo-s ) to a standardized size 35 taper 0.06. The root segments equally divided into two main groups according to the obturation procedure, single cone, and multiple cones and each further subdivided into two subgroups root filling with sealer, and without use of sealer. Results of the current study propose the tapered single cone technique as an efficient alternative to the lateral condensation technique because of shorter application time and ease in the application. Conclusions the well-adapted single cone method provides adequate filling when accompanied by canal sealer.
