Abstract

The adaptability, shear bond strength, biocompatibility of 2Seal sealer, Perma Evolution and AH Plus as well as their effects on the Enterococcus faecalis, were evaluated. The shear bond strength was tested on the Lloyd testing machine. Results showed that Perma sealer recorded the highest shear bond strength followed by 2Seal sealer then came theAH Plus sealer. Enterococcus faecalis was used to evaluate the antibacterial effect of these materials, while SEM was used to evaluate the adaptability of the various sealers specimens taken from different sealers groups. The cytotoxic effect of these sealers was evaluated calorimetrically by MTT assay.
