Abstract

Prostate carcinoma is the second most frequent cause of cancer-related death in men. Preoperative tissue characterization can help the surgeon to plan for adequate procedures. DWI is one of the evolving functional MR imaging. When added and interpreted together with the conventional MR imaging, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of conventional MR imaging findings have shown to be increased.
