We studied the presence of prothrombotic state in 41 children having SLE, and antiphospholipid antibodies (aPLs) as well as thrombin generation markers: prothrombin fragments F1+2 and thrombin antithrombin complex were determined and correlated with different demographic and clinical parameters of the patients. Our results showed that the higher antiphospholipid antibodies were associated with higher level of thrombin generation markers.
