This study was conducted on 50 patients (56 limbs) with acute non-traumatic limb ischaemia presented to Kasr El Aini casualty department from February, 2002 to September, 2002.Thorough examination for these patients was done including history of risk factors of acute ischemia or history of previous similar attacksGeneral examination was done with special attention to blood pressure and pulse irregularitiesLocal examination included level of coldness, capillary circulation status, motor and power status, color changes and highest palpable pulse in the affected limb. Color flow duplex was done routinely in all patients and its results were compared to those discovered intraoperatively.
