Abstract

Study done on fifty patients with Omphalocele. Decision of choice of treatment wa multifactorial. Primary closure was fastest and most efficient in small omphalocele cases and minor associated anomalies. Non operative treatment is of choice in high risk patient. Staged closure is recommended for giant omphaloceles or in patients with more than one factor preventing Primary closure. Complications were equal in all groups.
