This cross sectional study was conducted among junior physicians involved in management of diabetic patients in the departments of internal medicine and surgery of Kasr ElAiny hospitals (n=310, of which 250 were house officers and 60 were residents). Results revealed that there is a lack of knowledge (mean scores =38.78%+6.2%) and practice (mean score=51.14%+13.5%) of junior physicians as regard managing diabetes and its complications, with a significant difference between them, with positive attitudes toward the disease among the two groups and significant relation between knowledge, practice and attitudes.
