Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer, and is the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality in women. The color Doppler Ultrasound in diagnosis of breast lesions depend on the presence of the neo-vascularization of the vessels that surround the lesion and penetrate from the periphery towards the substance of the lesion. The flow in benign tumors less obvious than in the malignant.Injection of contrast media enabled better visualization of vessels seen at unenhanced Ultrasound as well as additional vessels not seen previously. Microbubble-enhanced color Doppler Ultrasound can used to evaluate primary breast masses as is has high sensitivity and accuracy in distinguishing malignant from benign breast disease but its most important role is in lymph nodes detection.
