Abstract

Photoaged skin shows additional damage than the aged skin which is not exposed to sun, such as dyspigmentation, and telangectasia , it was also found to be more prone to cutaneous malignancies; that’s because UVR is a powerful source of ROS in the skin. Combined topical application of sunscreen and antioxidants was shown to be more effective than the application of sunscreens alone; also combined oral and topical application of antioxidants was shown to be useful in prevention of photoaging of the skin.
